The Pellegrini Edwardes :: Website Info-Graphics

After the branding style was sorted for The Pellegrini Edwardes, one of the main tasks was to provide a lot of information with their supporters. The challenge was to do this in an interesting, fun and engaging way. The approach of info-graphics was taken to give quick, readable snapshots of culture and spirituality within Italy. Proving facts can be exciting!

The Pellegrini Edwardes :: Branding

"Pellegrini" - means: 'pilgrims on a journey, for spiritual reasons' in Italian.

Some of my closest friends are leaving Australia to live in Italy. They are on a mission to share Jesus Christ in a culture with a long and rich tradition, but currently very little relational commitment and conviction. Lokal Design has spent some time with 'The Edwardes' to create a presentation of what they are doing in Italy to engage and inform their supporters back in Australia. This has been a thoroughly exciting project, bringing together vintage, traditional signage looking, crafted imagery in neutral tones with some exciting info-graphic styled illustrations which are used to convey a lot of information quickly.

Envoy Rebrand

After working with Envoy on a couple of smaller projects in the past, Envoy contacted Lokal to talk branding. After a few lengthy discussion in trying to get my head around what 'web application development' really meant!?... we were able to move forward and form a direction for this industry leader and rapidly growing company.

Project bicycle ::001::

Everyone needs a project...

It may be a renovation, a craft, a garden or even a song.

Projects can be exciting / boring / cheap / expensive / be finished quickly or take years. Projects should be pretty rewarding (if you finish them) as there's something to show your friends and your mum. Sometimes the most daunting part is the start. This is the start of my new project... a bicycle.

The Spark - Volume One... Exhibition

Well, this one's been a long time coming! Lokal Design has been working on this project with Matt of Cowan and Partners and Jeremy Shaw for almost two years! With an original concept to inspire positive social action through connecting every day people we developed a collective now known by the name of Story Nation. The Spark - Volume One is the first publication by this collective which has grown and have many individuals connected to varying degrees.

The Spark - Volume One is an inspiring book of photos and stories about twelve individuals who's lives changed at one point because of a 'spark'. All proceeds from this book go to four amazing charities.

We hope that you, and many others can get behind this initiative and buy a book: Story Nation

Uncle Jed brings out some limited edition tees

We've been working on building the support behind Sydney soul band Uncle Jed. On the eve of their new single release we are hard at work on a new website, video clip and some fun merch! Check out these limited edition tees... they'll all be gone within the week, but it was well worth the effort and the photo shoot went down a treat thanks to band member Shannon and his fiancé Sam. To see more of Uncle Jed, check out their new website from September 20th: unclejed.com.au.
